Who we are

Scout Cleaning LLC (“Scout Cleaning,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a residential cleaning company operating on the Seattle Eastside in Washington State. This policy explains what personal information we collect through scouthousecleaning.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We only collect information you give us, plus a small amount of technical data that any website receives.

Information you submit: When you request a quote we collect your name, phone number, email address, service address, city, details about your home (bedrooms, bathrooms, approximate square footage), the service and frequency you want, your preferred date, and any notes you choose to add.
Consent records: If you check the SMS consent box, we record that you consented, the exact date and time, the version of the consent language you agreed to, the page you were on, and your browser’s user agent string. We keep this so both of us have a clear record of what was agreed.
Technical information: Our hosting provider processes standard request data such as IP address, browser type, and the pages you visited, for security and aggregate traffic measurement.

We do not collect payment card details on this website. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

How we use your information

To prepare and send you a price quote for cleaning services.
To contact you about your quote, scheduling, arrival windows, and completed visits.
To route a crew to your address and prepare for the specifics of your home.
To keep records required for insurance, bonding, tax, and dispute resolution.
To detect and prevent spam and fraudulent submissions.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Text messages

We send text messages only to people who have checked the SMS consent box on our quote form or otherwise given express written consent. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any service.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors that provide support services — such as our messaging platform — is permitted solely so that we can deliver the messages you asked for. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never sold, rented, or shared for any other purpose.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We disclose information only in these situations:

Service providers. Vendors who host our website, deliver our email and text messages, and manage our scheduling and invoicing, acting on our instructions and bound to protect your data.
Our cleaning team. The cleaners assigned to your home receive your address, access instructions, and relevant notes — nothing more.
Legal obligations. When required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, our team, or the public.
Business transfer. If the business is sold or merged, customer records may transfer as part of that transaction. You would be notified before your information became subject to a different policy.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies and does not embed third-party advertising pixels. If we add privacy-respecting analytics in the future we will update this page before doing so.

How long we keep information

Quote requests that do not become customers are retained for up to 24 months so we can pick up the conversation if you come back. Customer records, including SMS consent records, are retained for the life of the relationship and for at least four years afterward, which is the period we need for tax, insurance, and messaging-compliance purposes.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS. Access to customer records is limited to people who need it to do their jobs. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your information.

Your choices and rights

Stop texts. Reply STOP to any message. You may also email us to be removed.
Stop emails. Use the unsubscribe link, or email us and we will remove you.
Access, correct, or delete. Email [email protected] and we will confirm your identity and respond within 45 days.
No discrimination. Exercising any of these choices will never change the price or quality of service you receive from us.

Washington residents: the Washington My Health My Data Act gives you rights over consumer health data. We do not collect consumer health data. If you believe we hold information about you that falls into that category, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we will update the effective date above and, where the change affects how we contact you, notify you directly. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
